I’m Jodie… I’m from the beautiful little country England.
Welcome to my blog, Lost Homebird, a place where I share my travels and adventures around the globe.
This year I decided that although I am absolutely in love with my hometown and being close to my family and friends it was time for me to stop resting on my laurels, searching through instagram thinking “travel GOALS” and instead, finally put these goals into a travel plan. So…. I QUIT MY JOB AND PACKED MY BAGS!
Although I was lucky enough to be in a job that meant I had good holidays and could fit in Europe city breaks here and there I was always restricted by a timeframe. I knew that ideally I wanted to travel further afield, for a longer period of time.
This is where it gets scary for me because I’m am the ultimate definition of a homebird. I went to uni 1 hour away from my home and came back most weekends, plus I’ve never been away from my family for more than 2 weeks.
Yet, something inside me is telling me that I have to go and fulfil this passion I have for travelling so, here we are. My plane tickets are booked. I am changing my outlook, challenging myself and hoping to make a lifestyle change.
I know it’s not going to be plain sailing the whole time but luckily, I have an amazing travel companion Jess who will keep me company (and keep me smiling) along the way.
If any of this resonates with you, or you just love getting new travel inspo, tips and recommendations follow me on my adventures 🙂
